About the Electrical and Electronics Engineering...

The Departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is the father of all Engineering education process and is efficiently supporting the engineering departments by providing high quality of teaching in basic electrical and electronics. Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity ,electronics, and control engineering. Electrical engineering has now subdivided into a wide range of subfields including ,digital computers,power engineering,telecommunications,control systems The subject of electronic engineering is often treated as its own subfield but it intersects with all the other subfields, including the power electronics of power engineering.

This broad and flexible program allows students to customize their programs to meet their objectives and particular career goals. Traditional students can prepare for technological careers in industry, graduate school or management. The more interdisciplinary students can utilize this program as a launching pad for professional careers in business or public service.

Academics
Undergraduate

The B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a comprehensive degree program. The goal of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering curriculum is to create a flexible undergraduate educational experience in design, mathematics, modeling, computing, management, engineering science, humanities, social sciences and fine arts. Principal study topics include Electric circuits, Electrical machines & Control system, Power system simulation, Power electronics, measurement & instrumentation lab and others. This broad and flexible program allows students to customize their programs to meet their objectives and particular career goals. Traditional students can prepare for technological careers in industry, graduate school or management. Programme educational objectives
  • To provide students with sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, analyze and solve engineering problems and to prepare them for graduate studies and for successful careers in industry.
  • To impart students with skills for analysis, design and installation of electrical and electronic systems, thus preparing them for successful carrier, with aptitude for self-learning and further research.
  • To instill ethical values, leadership and team spirit and also to promote entrepreneurial interest among students, creating there by, a fervor for use of Engineering knowledge in addressing societal concerns and national development.

Industrial Connection

The department has to its credit corporate training programs, industrial consultancy, and funded projects from government bodies. These connections served to benefit students in the form of good placements, well-equipped laboratories and industrial exposure. The participation of industries in curriculum designing has helped the department to keep pace with fast-changing industrial needs. The department also benefits from the visiting professor programs of AICTE through which highly experienced senior executives deliver lectures to staff and students.

 
Careers

The program enables the students to take up careers in a broad spectrum of industries. Many of the IT industries also have CAD/CIM divisions, which increases the job potential of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Around 70% of the students are placed in reputed industries practicing core and allied engineering, through campus recruitment and the remaining 30% prefer higher studies in India and abroad.
